WE WANTED TO WIN BUT A POINT AWAY IS NOT BAD RESULT- COACH PERRY

NAPSA Stars football club head coach Perry Mutapa says his boys had a difficult game playing at Trade Fair Grounds owing to the bad state of the pitch.

The Pensioners battled to a barren draw against Buildcon FC in their week-10 match of the MTN Super league played on Saturday.

Shockingly, the home side also had similar complaints about the state of the pitch saying it made it had for both teams to play the game.

NAPSA Stars Head Coach said it was difficult to describe how the match went on because his players struggled to play their usual passing game because the pitch was hard.

He added that he was unhappy with the result looking at how his side was coming from recording two victories before this match.

“It was a difficult game; it was not easy considering the state of the pitch. I can’t fault the players because it was not easy to play on that pitch,” Coach Perry added.

It was a 50/50 affair with both teams creating very few chances in this match.

Buildcon Coach Chimunya Mwetwa also added to say his team did not have their training session at Trade Fair Ground to know the state the pitch was in before the match.

“We needed the three points but unfortunately we could not manage. We managed not to concede and that’s a step in the right direction for us,

“The pitch made it hard for us but we are happy it rained and things got a little better,” Coach Mweetwa added.

The draw has seen NAPSA Stars drop to sixth on the log with 16points from 10 games played. Buildcon on the other hand are still bottom on the log with two points after 10 games played.
