About Us

NAPSA Stars Football Club is a Zambian-based club located in Lusaka and currently competing in Zambia’s MTN Super League. The club was established in 1969 under the name Profound Warriors before being rebranded as NAPSA Stars FC. National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) fully sponsors the club, with additional support from Stanbic Bank Zambia.

Achievements:

League titles: None

ABSA Cup: Two-time winners (2012 when formerly known as Barclays Cup, and 2022 while in Division One)

In 2021, NAPSA Stars FC faced relegation from the MTN Super League after a 10-season run. However, the team’s time in the lower league was short-lived as they swiftly regained their spot in the MTN Super League.

Home matches for NAPSA Stars FC take place at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka. The team is currently led by Perry Mutapa as the Head Coach.

DEVELOPMENT

To focus on long term development. To do this, we do not only have youthful players and Development coaches, but also have two junior teams.

One taking part in the FAZ Under-16 Football League and the other taking part in FAZ Division Two League. We have a very strong set of coaches who handle these two teams.

CLUB OVERVIEW

Napsa Stars FC is run by a Board of Directors of National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) consisting of Board Chairman, Secretary and Two Committee members. These positions are appointed by NAPSA Director General. The Club is also registered with PACRA as Napsa Stars Limited.
