PLAYING UNDER COACH PERRY HAS HELPED ME BOOST MY PERFORMANCE- MUZO

Napsa Stars Football Club Striker Musonda Kapambwe says he has improved after coming back from his one-year loan at Buildcon Football Club last season.

Kapembwa who joined the team back at the start of the Eden National Division One League said he has worked on a number of things to ensure that he improves as a player.

The midfielder who has thanked having worked with Buildcon FC then interim Head coach Boyd Mulwanda says his loan helped him grown and see things on a bigger perspective.

Kapembwa said he had worked with Mulwanda before at Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy which made it easier to work together at Buildcon FC thereby improving.

“Coach Mulwanda believed in me even when I was not in good form, he gave me confidence especially because when I first left NAPSA, I had no game time and I was ever out of the team,” Kapembwa adds.

The player said that he is happy to come back to NAPSA Stars and more importantly, working with Head coach Perry Mutapa who believe has contributed greatly to boosting his morale when he got back to the team.

Kapembwa said coach Perry was very open with what he expected from the player and that he has been helping him by giving instructions on how make movements on the field of play.

“The Coach has helped me improve because I now see football differently from how I used to see it before. I have also worked on losing weight and this has helped me with easy movement on the field of play’’ Kapembwa said.

Meanwhile, the midfielder also said the team has performed so well in the first round of the FAZ/Eden National Division One League for the fact that it has managed to secure a spot in the ABSA cup competition.

Kapembwa said playing in the ABSA Cup tournament was one of the targets set by the team before the season kicked off.

“Being the first team to qualify for the ABSA Cup in our league just shows how serious we have been taking this season and it won’t be easy going into the ABSA Cup because we are going to play teams that are up there but those are type of teams we want to play.’’ Kapembwa Said.

The player says he believes Napsa Stars is a big team, and that he expects the team to show more of authority when the second round starts by winning as many games as possible.

He also added that the journey will not end at qualifying for the Zambia Super League but also playing in continental football again.

Napsa Stars goal poacher who is currently the joint top scorer with Luka Banda at the team with four goals says he is looking forward to score more goals in next round of the season.
